Cpd thing 8 and 9 Ever Note and Google Calendar

I really like Evernote for clipping websites. I have been crazy busy the last few days, but I have played around with clipping webpages with Evernote. I maintain a bookmarking service that contains evaluated websites for specific subjects. I like Evernote because I can clip the page and make notes. Later, I can refer back to the notebooks to decide if I am going to add a specfic site. I have not explored Evernote beyond this point, but I will in the very near future. I believe Evernote has a new fan!

I have used Google calendar in the past and liked it. However, my institution is involved heavily in sharing their Outlook calendars.

Reflection CPD23 Thing 5

I have heard the term reflection at some of the conferences I have attended spoken by wise librarians. I have always known that reflection would be a good thing for me to do after conferences and other professional development events I attend.

I am not sure I know the operations of Twitter but "give up" are not words in my vocabulary. I think Twitter is a good tool to use to stay up to date. I think Twitter may be faster than my Google feeds reader. I love my feeds reader too, I subscribe to many feeds which I read on a daily or sometimes weekly basis. The Academic Librarian is one and Librarian in Black is another I enjoy reading. It would be good for me to stay in touch with other Community College Librarians and University Librarians. I know I would learn about many new resources that I can use to help our students find information.

Ok. I am still trying to get this Twitter thing. I tried to join the twitter list for 23 things, but I am not sure if I got through. I think I need to read up on Twitter! On the positive side, I will be adding a picture today or tomorrow on my LinkedIn page. Slow but sure!
